A symphony for a city by ANDY JACKSON
This four minute symphony celebrates the virtues of the town of Spennymoor in County Durham. It was originally written as the soundtrack to an art installation by Anton Hecht, but now enjoys life as a concert item for almost any combination of instruments (with optional vocalist) from a minimum of five to a whole orchestra. Anton also made a short film based upon the work which you can view here.
At its most minimal, it is a song with a quartet accompaniment, and as long as these five lines are played (or sung), any other parts can be added depending on who is available.
