Ira SANKEY & Horatius BONAR, arr. JACKSON; Only Remembered - The Victorian hymn about the significance of agricultural labour was adapted and used to dramatic effect in the stage show of Michael Morpurgo's "War Horse".
This version returns to the original words and melody, presenting them in a sparse and dignified setting.
The 3-parts are written in treble clef, but can be sung in a variety of ways: either by an all female chorus, or an all male one, or a mixed group, for instance - with the men singing the melody and the women providing the two harmony lines above them.
