BIG SING 2013

8 SONGS TO LEARN AND SING IN A DAY

The impulse behind this songbook was to provide material for people spending a day singing to raise funds for hospices at the 2013 BIG SING in Darlington.

We decided on material reflecting a wide range of emotions from the earnest to the firmly tongue-in-cheek, from melancholic to uplifting, and including songs from many different cultures.

Even the more serious numbers are intended to be sung with a smile.

We hope that the selection gives everyone, singers and listeners alike, the chance to share in the universal affirmation of life that communal singing offers.
